Rolex Daytona Stainless Steel | “Panna” Cream White Dial | 2000 Chronograph Cosmograph 116520
Rolex Daytona | “Panna” Cream Dial | Stainless Steel
This is a Rolex Daytona. Model number 116520. It has a 40mm stainless steel case, a white special and very sought after “Panna” dial and a stainless steel oyster bracelet. The watch has an automatic and chronograph movement.
This Rolex Daytona is one of the very first series of the reference 116520, featuring a fully in-house calibre movement, that was released just after the “Zenith Daytona” reference 16520. This model was launched and released in 2000 and this watch was made in that very first year of release.
The earliest in-house Rolex Daytona 116520 with white dials slowly turn into a pale cream or “Panna”colour. Only found in a fairly tight serial range. After a fews years, it was noticed that even these new models can present tropicalisation. The phenomenon would appear to occur only on some examples made between 2000 and 2002 (P, K and Y serial numbers) with a white dial. With time, the bright white dials noticed to become and off-white, cream colour.
The watch comes complete with the original boxes, and swing tags.
